We spent 10 days on Tioman Island, which has plenty of great dining options. Here are the restaurants we tried and loved:
In Tekek
Tioman Cabana Beach Bistro offers a laid-back beachfront setting, where you can enjoy the sound of the waves while dining. The atmosphere and decor are thoughtfully done, creating a cozy and inviting space to relax.
The food was delicious! We especially loved their formule - choosing between meat or seafood and pairing it with a flavorful gravy and rice. The service deserves special mention. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always had a warm smile.
Overall, a fantastic dining experience!
HL Restaurant offers a more traditional Malaysian dining experience, with a simple yet welcoming atmosphere.
The food was excellent—authentic, flavorful, and well-prepared. The staff was warm, attentive, and efficient, ensuring we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed.
Overall, a fantastic spot for a great local meal. We’d happily return on our next visit!
Rahman D Jetty offers a street food experience, set under a simple tent rather than a traditional restaurant building.
The place had a lively, local vibe. The food was classic Malaysian cuisine.
The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Their kindness added to the charm of the experience.
A fantastic spot for an authentic and budget-friendly meal.
In ABC (Air Batang)
Located in ABC village, this beachfront spot was our go-to for breakfast a few times. The setting is lovely, with a relaxing view of the ocean to start the day. We especially loved the banana pancake - a simple yet delicious treat that quickly became our favorite. A great place to enjoy a laid-back morning by the beach!
In Paya

We stopped here for lunch during our jungle trek from Tekek to Genting and enjoyed a well-deserved break by the beach.
The beachfront setting was beautiful, offering a great spot to relax after the hike.
The food was good, with plenty of options to choose from, and the portions were generous. A special mention to our waiter, who was absolutely adorable and made the experience even more enjoyable!
In Juara
We stopped here for lunch while spending the day in Juara, drawn in by its beautiful beachfront setting. There was no à la carte menu at lunchtime, but instead, a self-serve buffet where you help yourself and pay. While the options were limited, it was just perfect for a casual and satisfying meal. The staff were incredibly nice and friendly.
